About this game

Afterplace is an adventurous indie game for mobile devices. It's a huge open world, full of hidden secrets, treasures, and creatures. You'll run around the woods, fight monsters, and talk to ostensibly shady characters! All from your pocket! Be warned though - you never know what the forest might be hiding. Not all trails are paved. Labyrinths and dungeons are tucked away in the most concealed nooks. There are no waypoints in Afterplace. You'll have to forge your own path.

Afterplace has been designed from the ground up to be a fast, fluid, beautiful experience for mobile. There are no virtual buttons. You can move and attack by touching anywhere. You can tap objects directly to interact or attack, use two thumbs like a traditional controller, or control the game with a physical gamepad. The game will adapt dynamically to your play style. Pick up and set down the game at your own pace, it will always save your progress. Afterplace is made to feel like a full-fledged indie adventure game that fits in your pocket.

The initial game released in December of 2022, but Evan plans on continuing to support and polish the game when he can!

A brilliant adventure game; pixel zelda with a lo-fi undertale-like world/story, quirky and loveable NPCs included. Yes, the art and music are great, plus its made me not only chuckle but actually laugh out loud. It's meatier than I was expecting, but what really drew me in is the attention to detail; it's glaringly obvious that this game was made with so much love. A steal at full price and downright criminal on sale.

CONTOLLER SUPPORT!!! :) There are so many glowing reviews of this game already, there's not a ton I can add. Except this. I took a chance on this game, but sadly couldn't effectively use the touch controls (fat, inflexible thumbs). Needless to say, I was bummed. When I realized I could switch to landscape view and use a controller, the game opened right up for me. More people need to know this is an option. Makes the game more accessible for people like me, so they won't miss out on this gem

I've played this game 50 times in a row. The characters. The pacing - the coding. It's amazing you've done a wonderful job. My biggest problem is the length of it. Becoming somewhat experienced I can now just straight rush to the end. You've done a great job teaching the person how to play with out holding their hand. I also wish there was a new game plus instead of having to Uninstall and install the game to play again. Please make more. You also need better advertising.
